cape york motorcycle adventures

If there’s one bloke who knows the Cape like the back of his hand, it’s Cape York Motorcycle Adventures trail boss Roy Kunda. He’s been running tours to the Tip since 1991 when he reached Cairns on a round-Australia ride and promptly settled down there.

Every year Roy and the CYMCA crew guide hundreds of riders on a range of three, five, six and eight-day tours around Cairns and all the way up the Cape. The eight-day ride/fly Cairns to the Tip (or return) the price includes bike hire (DR-Z400E), fuel, meals, accommodation, camping equipment, national park permit fees, ferry transfers, return flight to cairns, support vehicle, guide and sweep rider. The only additional expenses on-tour are the costs of drinks and souvenirs. For more details check out the web site and look out for news of additional tours Roy is planning.
